CORDA adds NEW .NET Embedder and .NET Component to PopChart - Facilitates developing PopChart charts and graphs for .NET Web Services

Lindon, Utah August 13, 2002-CORDA Technologies, Inc., a Lindon, Utah based developer of dynamic, interactive, Web-based charting and graphing solutions, today announced the addition of a .NET embedder and a .NET component to facilitate the creation of dynamic PopChart charts and graphs for the .NET environment.

The new .NET features in PopChart enhance the developer’s ability to create charts and graphs for the rapidly emerging Web Services market. Using PopChart’s .NET embedder, developers can create and send dynamic charts and graphs to the Web with just a few lines of code. Corda also provides a Web Service that allows developers to test their .NET output on the Corda web site. This enables the developers to ensure that the charts and graphs that they create look and perform as expected before they put them into a production environment.

The .NET component can be easily installed into Microsoft’s Visual Studio .NET tool set and allows developers to extend the functionality of the .NET embedder. Corda’s .NET component provides a graphical component to show the graph as it is developed. The .NET component also provides an example of how to use the .NET embedder.

.NET is the name that Microsoft Corporation uses to identify its web services strategy. This strategy includes a method of development for the web and a concept whereby customers access the Web to obtain data, goods and services. The concept has received wide attention and is currently being implemented by Microsoft.

The .NET features join PopChart’s list of current attributes like Flash and SVG images that have drilldown and popup information to assist in navigating through data. Dynamic Graphs can be combined to form Decision Dashboards.TM Wireless and handheld devices are supported with Flash or WBMP output. PopChart works with any database and any browser, and with Best Image Fallback, the highest quality image is always delivered to the browser. Many different graphs types are supported in both vector and bitmap images. All graphs and charts can easily be configured to be 508 compliant with descriptive text that permits the visually impaired to have the information read to them by a screen reader.
