Corda Technologies Provides Visual Resource for UK Office for National Statistics

UK statistics department afforded ability for end users to define their own charts from a database with millions of statistics

Lindon, UT-June 27, 2005-Corda Technologies, Inc. announced today that the UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) has incorporated Corda's PopChart® into a new version of a National Statistics website - called Neighbourhood Statistics - to visualize statistical data at national and local level through interactive charts and graphs.

ONS is responsible for providing the United Kingdom with statistical information on a range of social, economic, and socio-economic topics. It is providing the Neighbourhood Statistics website to enable visitors to gain easier access to information and statistics regarding crime, safety, employment, physical environment, census data, etc. The website also provides general interest information to any member of the public, and can assist in local authority planning.

ONS collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates official statistics at national, regional, and local levels of the UK. PopChart is a software program that allows ONS to pull data directly from its databases or from stored tables into interactive charts and graphs. Because PopChart is a highly scalable data visualization solution designed to deploy charts and graphs to high demand websites securely, it allows ONS to give their large user-base information in real-time.

The Neighbourhood Statistics project gathers data from sources within the Office for National Statistics such as the UK Census and from other UK government departments.
