United States Mint Integrates PopChart from CORDA Technologies

Charting and Graphing Solution Enhances United States Mint's Data Visualization and Reporting Capabilities

Lindon, UT-March 8, 2005-CORDA Technologies, Inc. announced that the United States Mint has purchased and implemented Corda's PopChart® to provide improved data gathering and reporting capabilities for the agency. PopChart allows the user to pull raw data from the agency's databases and create dynamic, sophisticated interactive charts and graphs.

The agency uses PopChart in several applications to better and more quickly understand its organizational data. The United States Mint utilizes several charts and graphs generated with PopChart to display statistics for its Safety Tracking Report and to quickly and clearly communicate large amounts of data for the President's Management Agenda.

In support of the United States Mint Strategic Plan, the agency employs PopChart for displaying information concerning performance measurements such as the following:

  • Lost-Time Accident Rate: Lost Time Accidents per 200,000 hours
  • Pulse-Check Survey: Quarterly Survey Results
  • Cycle-Time: A high-level look at the United States Mint's process cycles (customer order, replenishment, manufacture, procurement). Measured as the number of days for material to run through the United States Mint's cycle from procurement to delivery to customer.
  • Machine Availability: Time machine run during period/(Total Time in Period- Scheduled Downtime)
  • Inventory Turnover: Cost of Goods Sold divided by Average Inventory for the period
  • Sales, General & Administrative (SG&A) as a Percent of Revenue: SG&A Cost divided by Revenues
  • Customer Satisfaction: CSI = 1-[(Total "Satisfaction Gauge" Orders / Total Orders) + (Total "Satisfaction Gauge" Calls / Total Calls)]*100
