MARCH 2006

FROM THE DESK OF CORDA CEO, NEAL WILLIAMS

We're heading into 2006 with great momentum. I look forward to what the future holds and hearing from you as we move forward. To view our website click here: http://www.corda.com

Companies everywhere continue drowning in data while starving for information. And transforming data into spreadsheet information may be a start. But can you make sense of 43 spreadsheets in 2 seconds or less? Kudos to you if you can. But it's a nail-biting process and headache for others.

Business Intelligence (BI) tools that provide analytics can help ease the nail-biting and headaches a bit, but eliminating pain rather than easing pain requires timely data. Easy-to-access and easy- to-digest data. It is possible to make sense of 43 spreadsheets in 2 seconds or less if that data is displayed to instantly draw your eyes to key information while giving you answers for critical decisions. This can be accomplished by a dashboard. To see what I mean, click here: http://www.corda.com/demo/demo.html

As the BI industry continues to grow, the dashboard space also continues to grow. And because growth in this space creates many new ideas for dashboards, CORDA would like to make it clear: We provide the VISUAL display of data analytics in ways other companies do not. In other words, whether or not your IT system pulls data from Excel spreadsheets, Oracle applications, databases or other various locations within the company, the CORDA CenterView dashboard solution can simply pull this data together simultaneously, showing you in real-time a highly visual and intuitive dashboard to see the data you need to make accurate and more timely business decisions.

What this means for you is your critical business information can be at your fingertips to keep you 'in the know'. CenterView supports mobile and wireless devices allowing you to be "on-the-go" but still have your business and corporate information anywhere at anytime.

TECHINCAL TIPS

When adding a new Key Performance Indicator (KPI), make sure you have Currently Viewing (in the button bar) set to Entire Dashboard to see how it affects your entire project. Then in the Object Browser, browse to and select the Page or Cell object to which you want to add a KPI.

In the Object Palette, select KPI - New. (You can also right-click page or cell and select Add child tag > KPI - New.)

Tech says: "Because KPIs are responsible for displaying data on a dashboard page, it's great having the option to create KPIs directly under a page object or under a cell object as part of a more complex page layout."

Exec says: "Of course. That's because I can save time, money and headaches being able to instantly see what's happening in the business with key information from all company sources at my fingertips.
