This chapter discusses drilldown effects.
Drilldown lets you associate URL links or Javascript* functions with data items in a Corda® image. This functionality is referred to as drilldown because it is most often used to allow a user to navigate from one Corda image to another with more granular data. A user clicks on a data item such as a graph bar or wedge, or a specific map shape that links to a different Web page, such as another graph or map on a different Web page that provides additional or related information about the selected data item.
For example, suppose a Corda image contains a graph or map that represents the annual sales for each of a company’s products. Each data item in the graph or map contains a link to another Web page with a Corda image that breaks down the sales for the corresponding product. Users can select the link, view the more detailed information, and then return to the original graph or map page.
Note: Drilldown is supported in FLASH, SVG*, JPEG, and PNG images only. Drilldown may be unavailable in JPEG or PNG images with some Web browsers. For more information, see Drilldown/Hover/Roll-Over Data Label Problems in the Corda 7 Install and Administration manual.
