This chapter discusses how to set up Corda Server™ for clustering. Clustering requires two or more Corda Enterprise Servers with license keys that enable clustering. Clustering is ideal for mission-critical applications or those that receive extreme traffic.
Clustering of two or more Corda Servers is useful in situations where you need high redundancy and/or greater throughput. Clustering allows a group of Corda Servers to share information about Corda® images that are being requested and served. When servers are clustered, a hardware or software failure on one server does not prevent the image from being delivered to the requesting browser. Clustering also allows a group of Corda Servers to scale throughput by dividing request processing and image/document generation across multiple servers.
Important: The Corda Server Servlet cannot be used in a Corda Server cluster.
Note: Due to the nature of clustering, this is a highly technical chapter. A good understanding of network administration may be helpful.
The first three sections help you get ready to set up clustering:
The last four sections help you set up different aspects of Corda Server for clustering:
Important: Please read all of these sections carefully, even if you think they might not apply to you.
