Corda 7 Installation Problems

This section contains troubleshooting tips for problems that occur during the installation of Corda® 7.

"Invocation of this Java Application has caused an InvocationTargetException"

This error is known to occur when you attempt to run the installer in graphical mode without an X-session (e.g., through telnet) on UNIX*/Linux* systems. The graphical mode Corda 7 installer requires X to run.

To overcome this problem, start an X-session and try running the installer again. Alternatively, run the installer in text mode. For more information, see the installation process for UNIX/Linux.

"No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH environment variable"

This error occurs on certain UNIX-compatible platforms, including HP-UX, when you attempt to run the Corda 7 installer without first installing a Java* VM. The Corda 7 installer requires a Java VM to run on certain UNIX-compatible platforms. Download a Java VM and put it in the system path to fix this problem.

Installation Program Does Not Run

In some instances, the Corda 7 installer does not run under display resolutions lower than 256 colors.
