Installing Image Template Files

Image Template files are essentially templates for the graph and map images that Corda Server™ generates. Create Image Template files with Corda Builder™, or manually in ITXML (not recommended).

Although they can be stored in any folder, keep Image Template files in <product_root> for ease of access. By default, Corda Builder saves any Image Template files that you create in <document_root>\image_templates. This lets Corda Server automatically access Image Template files created with the Corda Builder loaded on the same server that runs Corda Server.

If you are running Corda Builder on a different machine, the simplest way to install an Image Template file is to copy it directly to the Corda Server’s <document_root>\image_templates. However, you can also install Image Template files using Corda Server Administrator.

To install Image Template files using Corda Server Administrator

  1. Log in to Corda Server Administrator.

If you do not know how to do this, see Using Corda Server Administrator.

  2. Using the menu on the left, go to the Image Templates / Font Files > Upload Image Templates screen.

  3. In the Destination Directory textbox, specify a destination path for Image Template file.

This location is relative to the document root. For example, entering itfiles would upload the Image Template file to the itfiles directory. Leaving this box blank uploads the file to the document root.

Currently, you can only upload to a directory under the document root (i.e., you can't move up a directory by using ... in the file name).

Note: To upload an Image Template file, the subdirectory to which you are uploading the file must already exist.

  4. In the File to Upload box, specify the Image Template file to upload. Alternatively, click Browse to locate this file.

The path to this file is relative to the local machine.

  5. Click Upload to install the file.

Note: Image Template files should always have an .itxml extension. Corda Builder automatically converts PCXML files (.pcxml) to the new ITXML format when you open and then save them.

To view currently installed Image Template files

  1. Log in to Corda Server Administrator.

If you do not know how to do this, see Using Corda Server Administrator.

  2. Using the menu on the left, go to the Image Templates / Font Files > List Image Templates screen.

The list on this page displays all Image Template files in the directory specified at the top of the page. This directory is relative to <document_root>\image_templates. When you first enter this screen, you are shown the image_templates folder.

  3. To view the Image Template files in a subfolder of the document root directory, enter the subfolder name in the Change Directory box and click Submit Changes.

To browse up to the document root, just click Submit Changes without entering anything.

  4. Click any Image Template file to preview it.

A separate browser window opens to preview the Image Template file under the default settings.
