Corda's CEO and President, John Purvis |
A Message from our
CEO
Corda Pulse Rate
Although we have employees and partners around the world, Corda World Headquarters is in Lindon, Utah, just a short drive from Salt Lake City and the
greatest snow on earth. Salt Lake City has a special place in the history of agile development methodology. Back in 2001, more than a
dozen luminaries in lightweight development methods met at the Snowbird ski resort in a summit which produced the seminal Agile Manifesto. Corda
Technologies has embraced agile development with a vengeance. It was four short months ago that Corda introduced the watershed
CenterViewTM 3.0,
a
huge leap forward for data visualization, performance dashboards and business performance management. Ajax technology was incorporated into
CenterView, extending the eye-popping Corda data visualization experience. There were major ease-of-use advancements in dashboard design and
administration. Alerting and collaboration introduced a new dashboard paradigm for enabling action to solve a problem once it has become
apparent through traditional dashboard monitoring. A new data snapshot function facilitated trend analysis. Sophisticated new portal
integration built upon the Corda dominance in universal data access and extreme implementation speed.
We're proud to announce the release of CenterView 3.1 today! CenterView 3.1 continues to enrich the
builder experience through a new startup
splash screen providing rapid access to tutorials, documentation and new and recent dashboards. An elegant DatafunnelTM variable
management
function has also been added to the builder so that designers can substitute variables in Datafunnel queries but still see results via default values
for those variables. We've dramatically improved our character encoding within the preview pane of the builder so that non-English dashboards
are displayed in native language during development. As a result of a focused commitment to performance refinement, we've improved production
server performance by a factor greater than 10x in many instances! Last but not least, we've added a new Business Objects Universe
connector. Our query editor provides all of the power of accessing Universe objects in terms of security, filters and role-based data
definitions in an idiom familiar to Business Objects users. Our Business Objects customers and prospects Universally love it!
While the pulse rate of our innovation continues to increase, we have invested heavily in quality
initiatives which are setting new standards for
functional stability and performance reliability. At the same time, the Corda Services division continues to offer best-in-class maintenance
and support, onsite and new certification-targeted distance-based training, and an array of acclaimed performance dashboard design and implementation
professional services. We are working very hard to understand your needs accurately and match them cost-effectively in our marketing and sales
efforts. We have embraced the goal of global recognition of Corda as a top place to work, and are committed to building employee satisfaction
and loyalty from our employees' ability to serve you, to offer you real and ever-increasing value, to increase your satisfaction and earn your
loyalty. We are finding joy in every aspect of our jobs, from the heady white-boarding of an innovation which will change the landscape of
business performance managemenet, to the gritty successive refinement of our internal finance and administration which is passionately committed to
making Corda easier to do business with, to treating our customers honestly, fairly and respectfully, and to embody the highest standards of
corporate
governance. Our customers make Corda's heart race. We are indebted to you for our success.

Visual Evolution 2008 Spotlight
Visual Evolution gives you the chance to rub shoulders with your industry peers to learn how CenterView can
transform your organization. Corda Technologies is pleased to announce that John Rome
and
Andy Beier from Arizona State University will be featured speakers, presenting a case study on how Corda
CenterView has transformed the face of business intelligence at ASU. John is the Associate VP for University
Technology
and Andy is the Manager of Database and Web Applications.
ASU has deployed over one hundred CenterView dashboards in the last year, some of which are designed and
deployed by ASU students who have been trained with CenterView. These students can produce a complete dashboard in a matter of hours. The
dashboards are used to track financial data, student information, Arizona economic information, and much more. You can see some examples of
their dashboards in action at:
Arizona Indicators
This is an example of Visual Business Intelligence at it's finest. Come listen to John and Andy's
presentation at Visual Evolution this year and learn how CenterView can transform your organization.

Corda Partners Helping International Expansion
|
Corda Expands Internationally Through Partners
Thousands of people all over the world visit our website www.corda.com to learn about data visualization and dashboard products and services, view our webinar recordings, read
literature, and
download free software with full support. For over 13 years, Corda has been both nationally and internationally recognized, but our ability to
respond
internationally has been limited to often time-consuming traveling or remote-based tools. Corda recognized our ability to improve and provide better
service and support to our internationally community, and we are excited to announce our focus and strategy of this support through international
partners.
For nearly a year now, Corda has made a significant commitment to expanding our reach into international
markets. Thanks to an intensive worldwide recruitment campaign and the help of some key programs, we've enjoyed tremendous success in partnering with
some of
the best companies in Europe and Asia-Pacific. One program that has proved successful for Corda is a product called The International Gold Key
Initiative, run by the US Department Of Commerce that help companies find the right partners with joint vision and goals in foreign
countries.
Corda is concentrating on developing a comprehensive training plan for partners that will help them understand
Corda's
technology, and help them learn to sell, deploy, and support our software in foreign countries. We've been logging many miles doing training
and consulting in
Australia, Spain, Malaysia, Italy, Korea, UK, China, and France, and Germany. We're focused on helping Corda partners sell both business and
technical skills and the results have been very positive. We've also provided our customer management infrastructure and leads to our partners
to help them view user details and track progress against milestones.
What does all this really mean? We're glad that with our new partners, we can better respond to users in
many more
countries, and the success we share in growth to new markets mean we'll continue to improve and evolve the value of Corda software products as they
are deployed in new environments. Significant enhancements continue to be added to our technology, products, and services to support our
partners and the international community, mostly derived from our specific activity and involvement with our international partners.
Corda is
very excited about our growth, expansion, and continued opportunities of the Corda family through partners. For more information on partnering with

CenterView Notifications Send You Critical Information Automatically
|
Tech
Tip
CenterView Notifications is a handy and powerful new feature that was added to CenterView 3.
This new feature allows users to subscribe to automatic email notifications for critical KPIs. For example, the user might be interested in
the KPI that tracks monthly revenue. While viewing the dashboard the user can subscribe to that KPI and set upper and lower limits for notification.
CenterView will notify the user through email when revenue drops below or goes above the specified values.
To set up this new feature first there must be user and mail information provided in
the CenterView Administrator under the Notifications link. In each KPI that you set up for Notifications you will need to add what we call a score. A
score identifies the value in the KPI that is going to be tracked, or 'scored.' To identify the score click on the KPI, add a score and then add the
Datafunnel you want to use. Next, enter the row and cell that contains the data you want to use as the score, and name it so the users know which
value can be scored. After that information is entered then each KPI or dashboard needs to be configured to
allow
users to click on the Notify button. This can be done for an every KPI in a dashboard by adding the Notify option to the KPI-defaults or each
KPI can override the KPI-defaults by adding a toolbar to the KPI and adding the options that you want the user to see. If you want to remove
the
toolbar you can add a toolbar to the KPI and not add any options. The only other thing required is that the user must login and have an email
address associated with that user.
Once the notifications have been set up for a dashboard, the user can click on the small blue
arrow on the top right of the KPI or on the Notify text directly depending on how the toolbar is configured. They will be presented with a simple
screen to create a
notification. They can choose to have CenterView email a PDF of the KPI each time or to just send a text notification. They can also tell how
often they want to check for this
condition. If they want to check for several different conditions they can create several notifications and customize each of them for the values
they want to track.
Notifications are a very powerful addition to CenterView. They enable decisions to be
made quickly and accurately with graphically easy to read data that is delivered automatically, even when not viewing the dashboard.
